Blizzard Beach Closed
Its last day of operation is January 1st 2022.
Blizzard beach closed. Disneys Blizzard Beach Water Park is now open. The park was also shut about a week ago for the same reason. This refurbishment is a bit uncommon in that it has lasted 6 weeks longer than normal and this indicates perhaps some potential enhancements being added to Blizzard Beach by the time it reopens.
Blizzard Beach Closed Due to Low Temperatures November 23-24. Its unclear when Typhoon Lagoon will reopen or what the seasonal refurbishment schedule will look like moving forward. Forecasts put the daytime high temperatures in the mid 60s.
Hopefully these closures wont be that frequent as I am sure many Floridians and out of state visitors want to swim and get some sun after being locked up all last year and some of this year. Disneys Blizzard Beach Water Park is now open. Disneys Blizzard Beach water park will remain closed on Sunday November 14 and Monday November 15 due to cold weather in Central Florida.
The closure has nothing to do with rides or refurbishment. Lows in the 40s and highs in the upper 60s are expected. Blizzard Beach will be closing in the new year for refurbishment.
Here is a list of Seasonal Refurbishments in Disney World. Disneys Typhoon Lagoon water park has not yet reopened which means that no Walt Disney World water parks are currently operating. Since March 2020 both Disney World Water Parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach have been closed.
As a reminder Disneys Typhoon Lagoon Water Park remains closed at this time. Disneys Blizzard Beach Water Park Closes October to January for general maintenance and seasonal refurbishment. Disneys Blizzard Beach Water Park is now open.
